My name is Rachel and I work within the well-established practice Rātā.

I am a down-to-earth Southland lass whose passion for midwifery began after the birth of my boys, I am a mother of 3 and a partner to 1 supportive man.

I believe in women’s choice and am strongly committed to the midwife partnership, sharing evidence-based information, and empowering you to make informed choices about your health and well-being.

I am a primary care-focused midwife supporting birth at home or in a primary setting, I will advocate for you and support you to trust your body’s natural ability to birth your baby but also understand and recognise the need for transfer to tertiary care in some cases.

I feel privileged and humbled to be given the opportunity to be in partnership and work alongside you and your family. I want to help create a memorable, positive, and empowering journey into parenthood, I look forward to meeting you and your family soon.

I am often in arranged appointments or births these are important one-on-one times that should not be disrupted. PLEASE DO NOT call me as all matters via phone call are for urgent midwifery-related enquires only.
